Family of suspect in stabbing case says he had mental issues
The stabbing of a man in the London metro in what police described as a terrorist attack provoked a defiant riposte from a bystander that has struck a chord in Britain: “You ain’t no Muslim, bruv”.

The Metropolitan Police said it had treated the attack as a “terrorist incident”.
Authorities are investigating the stabbing as an act of terror, said Cmdr.
One man, 56, suffered serious injuries, but they’re not considered life-threatening, police said.
There were reports that during the incident, the attacker yelled, “This is for Syria”, said Chioma Dijeh, a spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Police.

British media widely reported that the suspect linked his actions to Syria after the attack.
