A family took the responsibility of protecting their house from flooding in very serious manner and hence raised their house about 1.5 meter from the ground.

Reports says that they had spent a total of nearly $110k in raising their house approx. 1.5 meter above from the ground.
In a talk with Irvy family, they explained that it took almost three months to make their dream of a raised house true.
They explained that they paid huge money to a company, called Hydra-Capsule, which normally raise bridges.
The company officials used 28 hydraulic jacks to raise the house before placing it on strong steel girders as its new base.
The family continued that they came up with this idea after they suffered a heavy flood few months ago.
