Family tensions break out at Bobbi Christina Brown’s funeral

The memorial service of singer Bobbi Kristina Brown was dented by the chaos caused by her aunt Leolah Brown’s ouster from the private funeral. It was followed by three stretch limousines carrying mourners to the service and a procession of dozens of cars. Bobbi Kristina’s court-appointed conservator filed suit against Gordon in June, alleging that Gordon had physically abused Bobbi Kristina and that he’d stolen more than $11,000 from her bank accounts while she was unconscious. She never regained consciousness after the incident. But Pat Houston has – this is going to be a long, drawn-out thing. She will be laid to rest next to her mother in New Jersey on Monday.

The family now fear for her health as she is said to be “in pieces”.

Adriane Gregory traveled from Connecticut with her husband and children to be near the funeral.

Tragedy… Whitney Houston and daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown both passed away in eerily similar circumstances.

The death had been reported to the Fulton County Medical Examiners’ Office in Georgia “in accordance with state death investigation laws requiring investigation of known or suspected nonnatural deaths”, it added. Brown had inherited her mother’s fortune.

She advised Oprah Winfrey shortly after her mom’s dying in 2012 that she needed to hold on Houston’s legacy by singing, appearing and dancing.

“The whole family looked grief stricken”, the source said.

Houston and Brown were married 15 years. Bobby Brown left early when security prevented him and his children from sitting with Bobbi Kristina. Those in attendance included her father, Bobby Brown, and singer Monica. They also arrived separately for the services yesterday.

An email to the Houston family rep was not returned.

The BBC reports that an “outburst” marred the events, with Bobbi Kristina’s aunt, Leolah, leaving the service after another relative, Pat Houston, began speaking.

In late January, Bobbi was found by her boyfriend Nick Gordon floating “facedown and unresponsive” in a bathtub in her home, and though she was rushed to hospital, within hours, her family were told that there was no chance of a recovery as Bobbi had suffered massive brain damage.

Brown was escorted out of the church with help from actor and filmmaker Tyler Perry, who attempted to diffuse the situation. It has just begun. Whitney Houston’s “Jesus Loves Me” was played. Not only to Krissi’s family, but also to the other families that are there in this place.
