According to the report, one of the family member (probably daughter) in the middle of the night woke up to go to the toilet when cat became angry and cornered her for hours.
She was after some time joined by their rest of family.
The family later explained that whenever they tried to make escape, the cat launched a vicious attack, forcing them to barricade themselves in a bedroom and call police.
Even when police arrived at the place, in Chula Vista, San Diego, the cat refused to leave the family.
Eventually, he lost interest and strolled out of the house.
One spokesman after hearing the story said that it was one weird story he ever heard.
