Noted Malayalam film actress Kalpana Ranjani, known as Kalpana, died in Hyderabad on Monday (January 25) morning, according to information reaching here. Their only daughter Sreemayi is staying with Kalpana. She made her debut in MT Vasudevan Nair’s Manj in 1983 and since then worked in over 300 movies.
Kalpana has done a variety of roles in Tamil cinema including K.Bhagyaraj’s hit move “Chinna Veedu“.

In Tamil, she was last seen as Siva Karthikeyan’s mother in Khaaki Sattai. She got married to Malayalam film director Anil Kumar and divorced him in 2012. She has lent her voice to popular comedienne Archana. Hope she is rest in peace.
