Fan reaction: “senseless fun & entertainment “
With these types of superhero adventures, sometimes the added dimension is worth it, but other times it’s completely superfluous, so let’s find out where Suicide Squad lands on that spectrum.

“Suicide Squad” had the potential to be as hilariously irreverent as “Deadpool”, a surprise box-office hit about a similarly sociopathic hero.
Smith takes on the sarcastic and dry-witted sharpshooter with renewed energy and quickly becomes the defacto leader. There are also major cameos in this film that remind you that this movie is a single piece of an even bigger universe.
Suicide Squad Review: Many fans, like film director & comic book aficionado Kevin Smith love the movie. We get a few good shots, but 3D never enhances the narrative or visual style of Suicide Squad in any substantial way.
Damn, we’re exhausted just reading about it.
Like Dawn of Justice, all is not lost. These characters are actually dark and twisted, so the styling didn’t seem as out of place as it did in Man of Steel.
Cinematographer Roman Vasyanov gives the movie an unpleasantly grimy, muddy look that suits its moral quagmire, and the special effects for Enchantress are especially cheesy, her green eyes glaring through a haze of evil smoke. They’ll be impressed by Oscar nominee and Emmy-winner Viola Davis’s Amanda Waller. Most people will thoroughly enjoy Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn. It gets by on personality and colorful characters.
“When the flair and novelty of the first act is over, you’re left with characters you care nothing for, carrying out a mission you don’t entirely understand. And he would get a very unique reaction, you know?”
Harley Quinn turns out to be the centerpiece of the movie, and it’s not just her sexuality that makes her interesting.
Harley Quinn is the ultimate wild card, and it feels like Suicide Squad tries too hard to reign her in. She will dominate Halloween cosplay in 2016 for sure.
Unfortunately, the team has attracted the attention of another supervillain: the Joker (Jared Leto), who’s determined to rescue Harley Quinn and resume their twisted romance.
Snarky reviews aside, Suicide Squad is shaping up to have a pretty bloody massive opening weekend. Am I allowed to say poop?
This movie is insane. Rick Flagg is a surprisingly layered character whose interactions with the team bring out different sides to them. It’s not the blockbuster of the summer.

And projections estimate that the film is on its way to an August-best domestic debut of $140 million or more, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Unfortunately, Suicide Squad tries too hard to be better than the violent, amusing romp that Deadpool was. The Motion Picture Association of America rating is PG-13 – parents strongly cautioned.
