FANDANGO – CIVIL WAR Has Highest Advance Sales For Superhero Movies Ever
They’ve been involved in super shows like Arrested Development, Community and Captain America: Winter Soldier, and now they’re back as directors of the latest excellent instalment in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe, Captain America: Civil War. Based on the positive word of mouth, and the large theater count, we’re predicting that Captain America: Civil War will take in $210.5 million. There are definitely similarities however, and while the story plays out very differently, the movie frequently pays homage to the source material and borrows certain things from it. That of course begs the question of when the DVD and Blu-Ray will be released. They have just announced the “Ultimate Captain America Marathon”, which will screen in select theaters this Thursday and will, of course, conclude with a screening of Captain America: Civil War.

We know Steve and Tony pretty well by now, so the invitation to delve into ideological (and, eventually, literal) warfare between the two has been accepted with open arms by the MCU fanbase.
The Disney and Marvel superhero adventure is performing less like a sequel to the star-spangled hero’s films and more like another installment in the “Avengers” franchise.
Aside from Captain America, another “Civil War” character, Iron Man, is also expected to have a special appearance in “Spider-Man” homecoming. I mean, it’s incumbent upon us as storytellers who are making mass-appeal movies to make mass-appeal movies, and to diversify as much as possible. “Civil War” is the payoff when all those pieces are used to perfection.
Team Iron Man includes Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Vision (Paul Bettany), War Machine (Don Cheadle) and the new characters T’challa (Chadwick Boseman) and Spider-Man (Tom Holland).

“So Spider-Man became a flawless character for that level”. Sometimes, you just have to go with it, even when 20-30 superheroes (way too many) are destroying an airport while throwing vehicles and one-liners at each other.
