Fans concerned as Madonna appears ‘drunk’ on stage amid custody battle

A NY judge recently stated that the 15-year-old will remain with ex-husband Guy Ritchie in London, where he is now attending school.

The 57-year-old singer reportedly left fans waiting in the rain for four hours before the free gig kicked off. They were then treated to a rather muted performance, some questionable jokes, a rather emotional tribute to her now estranged son – Rocco, and a very weird exit (for Madonna, not for a clown), which took place after 3am in the morning.

Mr Justice MacDonald is considering the case at a private hearing in the Family Division of the High Court in London.

Mr Justice MacDonald urged Madonna and Mr Ritchie to try to settle their dispute.

He told Mr Justice MacDonald: “She does not wish for these proceedings in England to continue for any longer than necessary”.

Madonna, dressed as a clown, told the audience she had never drunk alcohol on stage before.

The lawyers took instructions from the singer after she performed in Melbourne on Thursday.

They continued: “Madonna has no official access or way of knowing what’s going on in Rocco’s life”.

The pop star says she wants the legal battle over her son, Rocco Ritchie, to end.

Judges have heard that Rocco had remained in London with his father after a visit.

Madonna’s attorney, David Williams QC, had previously told the court his client had launched proceedings in the United Kingdom under the Hague Convention on International Child Abduction, but had since had a change of heart and wanted to withdraw the petition to focus on the NY litigation, according to British newspaper The Guardian.

A judge has said he “fervently hopes” an amicable decision can be reached between his parents which is in his best interest.

Specialist barristers are representing Madonna, Mr Ritchie and Rocco.

“Lourdes is very concerned about her mother”.

In court, Mr Justice MacDonald said the fact that the hearing was taking place could be reported – and the parties could be named – but that no further detail could be published.
