‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ Begins Filming in England

David Heyman, who produced all of the eight Harry Potter movies, is a producer for the film. The movie will follow Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, “the wizarding world’s preeminent magizoologist, who stops in New York following his travels to find and document magical creatures”, according to a description of the project from the studio.

Scholastic The script is written by Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling. We’ve known for a while that the story would have Newt visiting New York (some seventy years before Harry Potter’s enrollment at Hogwarts), and that he’s overseas studying magical creatures for the eventual text book he’ll go on to write.

Other encounters along the way will include Katherine Waterston as Tina; Alison Sudol as Tina’s sister, Queenie; Dan Fogler as Jacob; Ezra Miller as Credence; Samantha Morton as Mary Lou; Jenn Murray as Chastity; and young newcomer Faith Wood-Blagrove as Modesty.

The big-screen adaptation of JK Rowling’s book, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, marks the Scottish-based author’s screenwriting debut.

Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them is shooting at Leavesden Studios in England, and is set for worldwide release in cinemas on November 18th 2016. As hard-core Harry Potter fans will know, I liked him so much that I even married his grandson, Rolf, to one of my favourite characters from the Harry Potter series, Luna Lovegood.

Gabrielle is 25 years old and lives in Chicago. In addition to writing for TheYoungFolks.com, she also the editor-in-chief and a co-founder.
