Fantastic Beasts Movie Sequel Already Confirmed

In news that certainly feels like a great sign, Warner Bros. has already announced that the sequel to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will be released in November 16, 2018, nearly two years to the day after the first movie’s premiere (which comes out later this year on November 18th).

For all you Muggles out there who don’t spend their time in the magical world, Fantastic Beasts is a prequel to the Harry Potter series that takes place in NY during the 1920s.

The stage play – and eighth Harry Potter story – is by the franchise’s creator J.K. Rowling, as well as her playwright collaborators John Tiffany and Jack Thorne.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a script, not a novel. With Rowling on writing duties, director David Yates is indeed going to take the helm of the sequel. It is yet to be released in theaters this November 18, 2016. Newt Scamander is a “magizoologist” who observes rare and endangered magical creatures around the world, documents them for his book and collects them in his tiny weathered suitcase.

The title for biggest single-week book sales since British records began is now held by another Potter title.

The “Potter” books “shaped my moral views, my understanding of how people should treat each other, and how we should behave in the world”, Ms. Zalon said. Let’s face it, theater may have been all the rage in the days before screens and cameras were invented, but they’ve has their day and should have gone the day of the dodo and the VHS long ago.

Five years since their last wizarding fix Harry Potter fans now have not one, but two, fantastic films to look forward to.

This will be author J.K. Rowling’s screenwriting debut and she plans to pen the follow-up.
