‘Fantastic’ Mane has had huge impact at Liverpool – Coutinho
Anthony Richardson recaps an epic weekend in the Premier League, where the Manchester derby takes the spotlight.

Philippe Coutinho has talked up the impact summer signing Sadio Mane has made at Liverpool.
He said: “Tomorrow, David Luiz will play for the first time with us and we are confident about him”.
“But it’s not just him but as we saw in the game with Daniel (Sturridge), (Roberto) Firmino and (Adam) Lallana up there too”.
“The manager has a lot of options to choose from”.
Coutinho was on the bench for the win over Claudio Ranieri’s side as Jurgen Klopp made the decision to rest him after clocking up the miles over the global break.
Liverpool beat Arsenal 4-3 away from home on the opening day of the season to show that Jurgen Klopp’s team have the quality, at least in theory, to go toe to toe with the top clubs this season.
The two teams average more shots on goal per game than any other sides in the division, while Liverpool’s players have covered more distance than any other team. Everyone was very committed from the outset and we got a great result against a great team.
‘It was a great game, attacking we were virtually flawless, so it was a great game that gives us confidence’. It would seem a little harsh for any of them to be dropped, but Klopp may adopt a “horses for courses” approach which may see Coutinho come back into the side – having scored twice during Liverpool’s win there last season. 10 points from five games, with four of them coming away from road with some very hard opponents thrown in would represent an excellent start to the season.
