Fantasy Football Replacements for Keenan Allen

On Sunday, millions of people across the globe panicked and protested as the National Football League opened the floodgates on the 2016 National Football League season with a slate of morning games. The New York Jets and Buffalo Bills provided entertaining fireworks on Thursday Night Football. Matt Forte had to grind out his yards, averaging 3.3 per carry, but three touchdowns more than made up for it. Sammy Watkins is struggling with a foot injury.

On to our start/sit advice for the rest of Week 2! Without Allen, the Chargers are going to need someone to step up in that offense and I see Woodhead being that guy. Despite his dominating season past year, Freeman was mostly held in check by the Bucs, averaging 67 rushing yards and 3.9 yards per carry and scoring zero touchdowns in two games.

Sit- Justin Forsett- Baltimore Ravens- Forsett didn’t do much to impress his Fantasy owners when he scored 5.6 Fantasy points and only had three catches for 15 yards.

Look at that number again. Check out this info from Fantasy Guru’s Graham Barfield.

So… that was quite a start to the season. Langford has now found the end zone in five of his six games as the primary back in Chicago and will look to make it six of the last seven against an Eagles D that surrendered 128 total yards and touchdown to the running backs of the Browns in Week 1. Winston has enough talent around him to shine this season and he proved that while torching the Falcons defence. The Titans were able to hold the Vikings outside receivers in check last week but were unable to keep slot receiver Stefon Diggs in check, meaning that this may be a Golden Tate game. Well, Benjamin played over 50 snaps.

Wilson’s fantasy owners likely drafted him as their QB1 and may not have drafted any other options.

TE Jesse James vs. Bengals Heath Miller finished 2015 with 60 receptions. These are just general ideas for standard leagues, but we can all give and receive advice for unique situations as they come up. The Lions may look to shut down rookie receiver Tajae Sharpe, leaving Matthews open for some serious Fantasy points. But I need to see more than one performance like he had against the Colts. I look for both teams to put up a lot of points both on the scoreboard and in fantasy.

Eli Manning played well last week against the Dallas Cowboys on the road throwing for 207 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. Given the matchups in Week 2, Dalton is in the lower QB2 range for me.

RB: Lamar Miller, Houston Texans -Miller had a career-high 28 carries last week. Now, onto the top 10 sleepers of Week 2. The Titans front seven presents a tougher test for Abdullah, who managed to score in Week 1 but did it while Theo Riddick was getting checked out. Edelman has really done well against Miami over the last couple years and Landry has done really well against the Patriots, especially in PPR leagues.

RB Carlos Hyde at Panthers Sure, the two touchdowns in Week 1 were great. Sanders is a must-start as a third wide receiver, though, and C.J. Anderson is a great daily play. But Week 2 will be a different story. He won’t replace the production of Allen, no one will, but if he can gain the trust of Philip Rivers, he can lessen the pain of Allen’s loss just a little bit. Yes, you’re pretty much always going to start Cam Newton, Antonio Brown, Gronk, and the like.

WR Kamar Aiken at Browns It might be one of the best matchups he’ll see all season, but if you’re still an Aiken truther, it’s time to get help.

Mike Wallace- The Ravens play Cleveland this week. Aiken is an afterthought in this now crowded offense. Stretched out over a full season, that’s over 1,200 yards and 12 touchdowns. If you don’t know the rules, I’ll give you a quick rundown. The Giants were daring Prescott to beat them deep by loading up the box to stop Ezekiel Elliott. Likewise for owners of Devonta Freeman, Brandon Marshall, Coby Fleener and Tyrod Taylor. Meanwhile, Brandin Cooks and Willie Snead had huge games. Wentz and the Eagles play a. Kirk Cousins is back along with his veteran receiving corps though, and with the 22nd overall pick in the 2016 draft Washington also added TCU WR Josh Doctson. That sentence alone should be enough for you to start Manning this week.
