Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups Week 11 2015-16
Week 10 in fantasy football was a week full of surprises and disappointments.

“It actually came up on the football field last week, randomly”, Watson said. Blount is averaging almost 23 touches per game in his last three starts. If you’ve been following this column all year, you should be absolutely pumped for Week 11. In a dramatic game where Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Landry Jones took over for Ben Roethlisberger just to have Ben Roethlisberger take over for Landry Jones, Brown connected with Big Ben to tally 32.9 FanDuel points.
Kirk Cousins, QB, Redskins: We’ve now learned in two of the last three games that Cousins has potential, but only when he’s facing sieve-like defenses. This week he goes up against the Colts. Osweiler has the tools to be a very successful fantasy QB. Keep him on the bench this week when he and the Bengals take on the Cardinals on Sunday Night Football. With that in mind, this will be the last Droppables column of the season. As a sleeper QB option, you really can’t beat him in Week 11. He’s not dependably useful with Miller in the game, but if he continues to produce like this, Dan Campbell’s staff will have no choice but to get him more involved. Two of those four touchdowns have come in the previous three games. These last games are crucial because they will be the deciding factors for your playoff chances. I will be heavily invested in cash games. The Bears have given up the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing kickers, locking in McManus as a top-10 option. And fear not if your waiver priority is low – we have a few sneaky pickups for you as well. This week though he faces the Falcons, who rank in the top five for the least points given up to quarterbacks this year. The Chargers have one of the most pass-friendly defenses in the league, allowing 8.27 yards per attempt and 16 touchdowns against just five interceptions. With that being fairly obvious, you would assume the Chiefs will be playing tight on Gates all game long.
He finished with 21 fantasy points in standard 6-point passing touchdown leagues, which is a pretty average score but my guess is that if you had to start Carr, you didn’t have much of an option anyways. Langford should keep up his hot start. This weel though, as we mentioned above, Vegas thinks that not only will the game be close, but it will have a lot of points scored in it as well. Jones has become a more dependable back than Alfred Morris, who has been a fantasy disappointment this season. Both have legit value, but be careful with Melvin Gordon. Did you know they have allowed just 1 rushing touchdown, and 2 receiving touchdowns to RBs this season? Gordon has been disappointing all season and it should continue to be a disappointment this week.
Stewart faces a great matchup against the weak Washington run defense (GETTY IMAGES). Jones had a favorable matchup last week and he didn’t disappoint. But this week is a different story. Seven wide receivers have surpassed the proposed numbers against the Pack this season. They give up 24.0 PPG, and have allowed 1,444 total yards (1,067 rushing, 377 receiving) and 12 TDs (8 rushing, 4 receiving) through 9 games this season. He’s the second highest priced wide receiver despite likely being shadowed by Darrelle Revis and having T.J. Yates throwing to him. He runs the ball and returns kicks. After that stretch Cutler only plays one good defense the rest of the way (@MIN). The Patriots would love to replace Edelman’s production with a platoon, but with Dion Lewis out as well, they will be forced to use Amendola as much as possible to make up for both losses. Amendola may not be Edelman, but the Patriots aren’t going to change the role one iota. If Amendola can stay healthy, he should be able put together a good game.
Sit Davante Adams, Packers: Adams is coming off two strong games in a row now since returning from his injury. Givens also had seven targets, which was a season high. But Amendola isn’t a bad flex play. Johnson is one of the big front-runners to win the Comeback Player of the Year award this season, and rightfully so. Kelce is a big and talented tight end that Alex Smith looks for. And a couple weeks ago in Green Bay it looked like he was back, but on Sunday the man was pulled from the game for Brock Osweiler, Brock Osweiler. Expect another one or two touchdown performance from Ryan, but don’t expect elite numbers from the Atlanta signal caller. With Stafford outside of the top 13 quarterbacks on FanDuel this week, and only 4.7 percent owned on Thursday, he makes for a great tournament play. We have you covered, though, with our best waiver wire adds for Week 11. Most notably, Julio Jones and Devonta Freeman are two above-average pass-catching weapons, while Jacob Tamme is starting to develop into a more than serviceable tight end.

It’s not a good matchup at all, but Cutler is playable in big leagues if you are in need because he is spreading the ball around very well. How much do you trust any of them against the red-hot Vikings in Week 11? After scoring a touchdown in five of his first six games, Jones seemed to be a receiver that could be relied on week after week. It was his best game since week 5. Chicago has shown considerable improvement in recent weeks, but I suspect the towering passer delivers at least a 250-2 line. Last week for Celek was a fluke and probably won’t happen again. Also at $5,000, Mark Sanchez gets a tasty matchup versus the Buccaneers as he steps in for an injured Sam Bradford.
