Fargo folks still feel the Bern and rally for Sanders

Wasserman Schultz was in Cleveland last week for the Republican National Convention and tweeted to RNC Chairman Reince Priebus that she was available to help if he needed someone to run the convention, her way of poking fun at all the negative media attention the convention was receiving. The Clinton campaign received a major boost with the new endorsement of one-time Republican and popular former New York City Mayor, Michael Bloomberg.

Sanders said Wasserman Schultz, a USA representative from Florida, had made the right decision for the future of the Democratic Party.

He’s among the Sanders supporters now standing even firmer against the party’s calls for unity after leaked emails suggest the Democratic National Committee favored Clinton in the primary.

More than 1,500 miles away from Philadelphia, it was a message Sanders supporters marching through Hermann Park wanted the decision-makers at the Democratic National Convention to hear loud and clear. Occupy DNC protesters have one big goal: Swaying superdelegates away from Clinton and in Sanders’ direction.

Democratic officials on Sunday, July 24, 2016, were weighing whether the party’s chairwoman should resign following the publication of hacked emails.

“It was never a fair race”, Singh, also a Sanders delegate, said.

“They wanted someone they worked with in the past, and I’ve worked with them through the campaign, and they feel comfortable with me carrying the message”, Gallego said.

Inside the Wells Fargo Center, some Democrats are preparing to nominate Hillary Clinton as the party’s candidate for president.

The emails showed DNC officials pondering various ways to undercut Mr Sanders.

“I think it had to happen”, said Volinsky, reached on a bus en route to the convention Sunday night.

Sanders and his supporters have also expressed disappointment at Clinton’s choice of Virginia Senator Tim Kaine as her running mate, preferring someone further to the left. “Sanders’ religious beliefs as a way to gain political favor angers me”, said state Rep. Renny Cushing, D-Hampton. “He is a very nice guy”.

Still, several Sanders supporters in Nevada’s delegation said they weren’t sure how much the move would actually go toward relieving tensions on the convention floor tomorrow.
