Farming Simulator 17 Will Have Mod Support For PS4 And Xbox One

The move, announced at E3 2016, would have seen Xbox One and PS4 players of Fallout 4 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition enjoy mods as their PC gaming brethren do.

In a statement from Bethesda, they have let fans know that unfortunately there will not be user created mod support coming to their games on PlayStation 4. Sony have been getting hammered by Microsoft over the past week, so expect to see some condescending tweets from the latter before too long about how the Xbox One has mod support and the PS4 does not.

Fallout 4 fans playing on the PlayStation 4 have been waiting for an update that would provide mod support for a considerable amount of time now, but unfortunately it was for nothing. According to Bethesda, the reason for this is Sony’s refusal to “approve user mods the way they should work”. They also promised to look for new ways to make user modes available for PlayStation 4 users so that they could play the games.

Bethesda says it’ll update everyone “if and when this situation changes”. This HDR patch will be applied to both the older 2013 launch models and the newer PS4 Slim models, which launch on September 15 and have since replaced the original models as the default retail console.

That’s because while your original PS4 – the actual original or the new slimmer model – does indeed support HDR from today, now there’s nothing you can run on it that makes use of the tech. The biggest update is that it brings the HDR feature to the Playstation 4 console. It’s our first time innovating within the life cycle, so I’m not exactly sure what impact that will have on our plan going forward. The Quick Menu now features an enhanced Music section that will allow a user to discover, play music on Spotify without opening the app. We’ve pinged Sony to get their perspective on things.
