Fatal shooting outside WeHo Comedy Store
A man was fatally shot early Wednesday while standing on a patio outside the Comedy Store in West Hollywood.

The man’s death is the first homicide reported in West Hollywood in the last 12 months, according to The Times Homicide Report. The victim was hit with at least one bullet in the torso, and was transported to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
Investigators say the shooter, wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt, walked up to the victim and opened fire, then ran away.
Navarre said there was no immediate information about whoever did the shooting.
The victim was in his mid-20s, Jauch said.
Witnesses reported seeing the gunman flee south on foot on North Olive Drive.
The Comedy Store couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.

Sunset Boulevard was closed between La Cienega Boulevard and Sweetzer Avenue while an investigation was conducted, snarling traffic in the area throughout the morning rush hour.
