Told Lynch on Sunday’s show: ‘Obviously, it’s something that we’re looking at very, very closely’.
The father of the San Bernardino gunman gave a harrowing interview where he said that he knew his son was in agreement with ISIS ideology and also had a negative obsession with Israel.
Obama’s argumentation was rejected by Republican frontrunner Donald Trump who told reporters that “those murdered in San Bernardino and in Paris last month could have defended themselves if they had been armed”.
Farook and his wife, Tashfeen Malik, opened fire at Farook’s co-workers at a holiday party for the environmental health department before being gunned down hours later in a shootout with authorities. At the same time, Farook said his son was “an angel” and that he was “good, obedient and studious”. “And who doesn’t talk about them today?” The father did not get along with Farook’s mother.
“Rizwan was the mama’s boy, and she is very religious like him”, he said.
“He said he agreed with (ISIS chief Abu Bakr) al-Baghdadi’s ideas for creating the Islamic State, and he was obsessed by Israel”, La Stampa, an Italian daily, quoted the 67-year-old father of the shooter, also named Syed Farook, as saying.
“Farook, although he is dead, is now officially listed by the FBI as a terrorist”, a federal law-enforcement source told The Post.
As investigators continue to try to dig deeper into the shooters’ dealings in the days leading up to the attack, they’ve discovered a $28,500 bank deposit the couple received in late November.
This was later followed by reports that Tashfeed Malik had sworn allegiance to Islamic State leader al-Baghdadi and had praised ISIS in a Facebook post while she embarked on her murderous mission with her husband. His daughters previously told the New York Times they had seen no warning signs indicating he would carry out the attack.

Another US official briefed on the matter said that people who knew Farook and Malik observed the couple change – but never reported their suspicions to law enforcement.
