FBI Arrests Tanger Outlets Jewelry Store Robber
A woman suspected in multiple jewelry store robberies across the Southeast has been arrested in Georgia along with one other person with her at the time, the Federal Bureau of Investigation said late Saturday.

The FBI Jacksonville branch said 24-year-old Abigail Kemp is in custody.
The agents were assisting the Jacksonville, Fla. division with the investigation which possibly included jewelry store robberies in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee and North Carolina. Due to on-going investigative efforts, e identity of the second person, and the details surrounding both arrests, are not being released at this time.
On Aug. 5 at a Zales jewelry store in Dawsonville, Georgia, Kemp allegedly walked away with $13,000 in valuables.
Amanda Videll with the Jacksonville, Florida FBI division confirmed with WFMY that Kemp is the same suspect involved in the robbery of a Jared Vault in Mebane on January 4. Charges are pending, she said.
Authorities said Kemp pulled a gun on employees and ordered them into a back room.
The FBI thanked those who called in with information. The FBI is still investigating and encouraged the public to provide any information that may help.

The FBI said the case would be handled by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida.
