FBI investigation bank robbery in Lee’s Summit
A robbery attempt at gunpoint occurred on Tuesday afternoon around 3 p.m.at the Chase Bank located at 27301 Chardon Road, Willoughby Hills. The two men are described as approximately 5’6″-5’7″, around 150-160 pounds.

The app is based on the FBI’s Bank Robbers website, which was launched in 2012 and features a gallery of unknown bank robbery suspects wanted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The FBI says the man is about 5-foot-8 to 6-feet tall, and was wearing a red shirt and jeans.

He walked up to the teller at the TCF Bank branch inside a Jewel-Osco at 2164 Bloomingdale Rd. and handed the teller a note demanding money, authorities said. He is approximately 6’2 -6’3 and wearing a black stocking cap, grey shirt, long dark trousers and gloves. But as she fidgeted with her keys, the one suspect caught on and the pair backed away. The man fled after obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash in that heist. A subsequent investigation led to the positive identification of the suspect as well as charges being filed against him in both states. No injuries were reported.
