FBI Not Giving All Info To Committee Probing Russia, Member Says
On Wednesday, a Justice Department official confirmed that AG Sessions had two conversations with Ambassador Kislyak previous year, when he was still a senator, a fact he misrepresented at his confirmation hearing, when he testified he had no contact with the Russians.

One official said McGahn’s memo instructs White House staff to preserve material from Trump’s time in office, and for those who worked on the campaign, relevant material from the election.
A congressional investigation of Russian interference in last year’s presidential election will also look at whether classified information gathered by USA spy agencies was leaked to the public.
Officials said Flynn didn’t divulge classified information during the conversation, which was captured on a routine wiretap of diplomats’ calls. “And what I’ve been told is, by many – by many folks, is that there’s nothing there”, he added.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions also met with the Russian ambassador during the campaign – when Sessions was a senator and an adviser to the Trump campaign.
The committee, which has been probing contacts between Trump’s campaign and Russian Federation, said in a statement that Nunes and Schiff had agreed on a classified six-page document laying out the scope of their investigation.
United States intelligence also intercepted communication between Russian officials and the Kremlin discussing meetings with Trump’s associates.
However, Schiff stated that the Federal Bureau of Investigation director did not provide the committee with all the answers it sought during their meeting.
In the weeks after President Donald Trump’s victory, European governments adopted a wait-and-see attitude, telling envoys not to react to every presidential tweet and watching for actual action.
FBI Director James Comey declined to divulge all he knew about the agency’s investigation into Russian meddling in the US election at a closed-door meeting with the House Intelligence Committee, Democrats charged.
“You can not have somebody, a friend of mine Jeff Sessions, who was on the campaign and who is an appointee”. You know what they said.
The Obama White House also lowered classification ratings on some information about the ongoing Russian Federation investigation so that it could be more widely shared across the government, The New York Times reported on March 1.
Gingrich said Trump should “take a lesson from the past” by appointing a “very smart, independent person” to investigate.
‘I would say at this point we know less than a fraction of what the Federal Bureau of Investigation knows, ‘ he added, according to Politico.
Schiff appeared outside the closed Comey briefing following Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., and the two members had conflicting perspectives on the Federal Bureau of Investigation chief’s candor.

“I would have no reason to believe that any information is going to ultimately be withheld from us”, Nunes said. He’s chided suggestions that his campaign colluded and he’s criticized the CIA, FBI and other government agencies for leaks about their classified reports on the matter. “Look, how many times do I have to answer this question?” Will Trump stand up to Russian Federation, an adversary of the USA, a country that wants to spread its Communist totalitarianism to Europe, the Middle East and North America? And perhaps even more significantly, they agreed to examine any links between Russia’s nefarious activities and, as they put it, individuals associated with political campaigns or any other USA persons.
