The 22-year-old Cameroon-born French global signed a five-year contract with the current Spanish champions, the club’s website said, reports Efe.

Barcelona have announced the signing of France global Samuel Umtiti from Lyon on a five-year deal for €25million. The 22-year-old will serve as a backup to Gerard Piqué and Javier Mascherano in the center of the defense, and could also play as a left-back if necessary.
The Spanish champions said Tuesday that the transfer cost 25 million euros ($27.7 million). Umtiti’s buyout clause is €60 million.
Umtiti will undergo a medical and sign his contract on Friday ahead of being officially presented as a Barcelona player.
“FC Barcelona have signed 22-year-old French worldwide defender Samuel Umtiti from Olympique Lyonnais for the next five seasons”, the club announced on their website on Tuesday.

Umtiti has plenty of first team experience despite his young age, he had been a first-team player at Lyon since 2011 and went on to make 170 appearance for Lyon.
