FCC filing confirms 3600mAh battery for Galaxy S7 Edge

The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will come with a 5.1 inch display with a Quad HD resolution, both handsets will have two processor options, the Snapdragon 820 and Eyxnos 8990. Unfortunately, there is not a corresponding screenshot for the smaller S7, though it is expected to be 3000mAh. Besides the 12MP BRITECELL rear camera, the Galaxy S7 Edge will ship with a 5MP front camera for selfies and video chat. Nonetheless, people will already see the interface changes similar to those received by the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge including the white and blue status bar theme. However, the camera has been upgraded and now sits flush with the rest of the device.

A filing for the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge reveals that the phone has a much bigger battery than its predecessor. This is a design touch we’ve noticed in the hands-on image of the S7 Edge as well. The device features a built-in RAM for superfast performance and an LTE modem. Samsung is famous for their camera hardware and the same holds true for the Galaxy S7 as well.

Another batch of rumors suggests that Samsung is now working on its own range of technology, which is the ISOCELL sensor. The official details can only be guessed at the moment since Samsung is yet to make a formal statement on the tech specs.

Samsung’s press conference on February 21 will reportedly come just weeks before the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are expected to be released to customers as Samsung attempts to regain some of the losses in market share it has experienced in the last 12 months.
