Up to 60,000 are expected to attend the event at Wembley, which will include performances from Indian and British stars, a fireworks display and a speech by Modi.
“Kabir and Rahim have been our inspirations”.
There have been protests in London during the PM’s visit by a few groups that have accused him of creating an “authoritarian culture” in India. “There is no reason for India to remain a poor country”, he said to roars of approval.
He said the fact that the world’s confidence in India was increasing was proved by the fact that foreign direct investment into India has increased by 40 percent over the past year.
“The common ask of the industry in both countries is a business environment characterised by simplicity in structures and processes, clarity and transparency in decision-making and uniformity and consistency in the treatment of corporates and people across borders”, Mr Mistry said. PM said that, “We are confidently, consistently and ceaselessly working to ingrate our economy with the world”. “I can tell you that the speed which India has taken, the direction it has taken, results will be evident soon”, Modi said.
The protesters were carrying placards like “Hindutva is threat to Indian unity”, “Modi not welcome in UK” and “Stop religious persecution in India”. Now we have more Members of Indian origin at the Parliament than before.
Asserting that Narendra Modi has proved his critics wrong, British Prime Minister David Cameron today said that his Indian counterpart has worked tremendously after forming the government in New Delhi and said “acche din zaroor aayega”. “Prime Minister Modi said “acche din aanewale hain”, I say “acche din zaroor aaiyega”, he said to thunderous applause.
The British Prime Minister acknowledged the power called India.
While he’s been largely welcomed by the media and British-Indians, there have been protests at quite a few places calling him a “terrorist” and also accusing him of being responsible for the rising intolerance in India.
Britain is home to a 1.5 million-strong Indian diaspora.

Stating that the FDI inflow has increased by 40 per cent, the Prime Minister said this shows the increasing global confidence on India.
