Perhaps the one facet that will get fans really excited is the possibility of a crossover with AMC’s flagship The Walking Dead series. Sadly, this being The Walking Dead, we’ve had to say goodbye to a number of these, but they won’t be forgotten in a hurry.
And like the original Walking Dead series that has everybody talking, AMC executives are convinced its spinoff will take in high ratings they have decided to have another 15-episode run in the next season.
“We purposely built the show a bit more slowly than the original”.
The show stars Cliff Curtis (Travis), Kim Dickens (Madison), Frank Dillane (Nick), Alycia Debnam-Carey (Alicia), Elizabeth Rodriquez (Liza), and Lorenzo James (Henrie) as the core family members faced with the zombie apocalypse on their doorstep in Fear The Walking Dead. “We call them “infected” and not ‘walkers.’ There’s absolutely going to be walkers, [but] there will be a build”. And you can understand already, why the show has been greenlit for a 2nd season. “We tried to slow-burn the story, make it as much about the anxiety and tension and paranoia that goes with this outbreak as it is about the actual confrontations with zombies”.
Meanwhile, “Fear the Walking Dead” hinted during the Television Critics Association’s press tour in Beverly Hills how much time “The Walking Dead” spin-off will cover during its first season. According to updates, “Fear the Walking Dead” episode 1 is set as “Close, Yet So Far”. “It’s the end of the world as we know it”.
“By the end of Season 1, we definitely know the world has changed”, explained Erickson.
