“LAPD is not handling any report or allegations into child abuse against Brad Pitt”, according to a statement read by spokeswoman Officer Jenny Houser.

The AP reported that the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Families would not confirm or deny any investigation, but Sgt. Barry Montgomery with the LAPD told The Hollywood Reporter there is no criminal investigation being pursued.
Initial attempts to reach representatives for Jolie and Pitt were not successful.
Jolie’s lawyer Robert Offer said the actress had filed for the dissolution of the marriage “for the health of the family”.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie share three adopted children together, Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, and Zahara, 11.
A phone message left for Jolie Pitt’s attorney Laura Wasser was not returned Thursday.
TMZ reported an investigation was launched after an anonymous caller reported an incident September 14 where Pitt allegedly got “physical” and “verbally abusive” with one of his children on the couple’s private plane.
He said he didn’t know why the plane landed in International Falls, but said it’s not uncommon for hockey players or other celebrities to stop at the airport.
Pitt and Jolie Pitt – known as “Brangelina” – were together for 12 years but only Wednesday in August 2014. They married privately at their French chateau in the Provence hamlet of Correns with their children serving as ring bearers and throwing flower petals.
A staunch friend of Jennifer Aniston, Handler has also previously labelled Jolie a “homewrecker” and a “demon”.
“They always had disagreements when it came to disciplining the kids”, the source explained, adding that, “He has wanted the kids to have more structure”.

In addition to their philanthropy, much of their off-screen public image has been about their role as parents. The former couple are believed to have been on the aircraft with their six children and according to TMZ, a source told the news outlet Brad allegedly went “wild, screaming and getting physical with the kids”.
