Federal Bureau of Investigation says it’s evaluating abuse allegations against Pitt

The alleged incident is said to have caused Jolie to file for divorce, which she said in a statement was for “the health of the family”.
The LA County Department of Children and Family Services also denied that it had confirmed to any media outlets the allegations against Pitt.
However, a spokesperson for the LAPD denied it was investigating Pitt, telling the Independent: “We only found out through calls this morning, we contacted divisions that would be handling it and they’ve said no”.
Citing anonymous sources, TMZ previously reported on Thursday morning that Pitt was suspected of being “verbally abusive and physical with his children” during a trip last Wednesday on the family private jet.
In a statement, the Federal Bureau of Investigation said allegations involving an “aircraft carrying Mr Brad Pitt and his children” had been referred to the agency.
He said his office was legally prohibited from discussing any ongoing investigations regarding any clients, celebrity or otherwise.
However, the LAPD have stated they are not investigating Pitt.
Angelina wants sole physical custody of the kids, which she says is not about Pitt and alcohol, but more than mere substance abuse.
Pitt, 52, was reported to have clashed with his oldest child Maddox, 15, during the alleged incident on 14 September.
A source told the Independent that Pitt understood the seriousness of the matter and is “cooperating”.
“It’s unfortunate that people involved are continuing to present him in the worst possible light”. She is reportedly requesting that a judge grant Pitt visitation rights as opposed to joint custody.
