Montgomery County Police say they have “reason to believe” all three Maryland shootings are related.

At the Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, about 10 miles northwest of downtown Washington, one person was initially shot and two others may have been shot coming to that person’s aid, said Montgomery County Police Assistant Chief Darryl McSwain.
Police are responding to a shooting outside of the Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, Maryland.
Separately, another woman was shot and killed outside a Giant grocery store in the same area, police said. That deadly shooting happened Thursday at High Point High School.
The mall, in a tony area northwest of the District of Columbia, was placed on lockdown along with Suburban Hospital, and people at the county’s schools and recreation centers also have been told to shelter in place. He hasn’t been caught. Piringer said no one was transported from that scene.
Friday evening, Prince George’s County Police charged Tordil with first-degree murder in the shooting death of his estranged wife.
Eulalio Tordil, 62, shot his estranged wife as she sat in the vehicle waiting to pick up her children.
Tordil is an employee of the Federal Protective Service. The good Samaritan was shot first before Tordil shot his wife, 44-year-old Gladys Tordil, multiple times, according to police.
A U.S. police officer is suspected of killing three people in the space of two days. He was placed on administrative leave after a protective order was placed against him, according to CNN, and his service weapons were taken away.
Manger said police decided not to confront Tordil right away because they thought he was armed. The officers took no chances, as a wanted poster for Tordil stated that he had previously threatened to commit “suicide by cop”.

Tordil is expected in court at 1 p.m. Monday in Rockville District Court, police said. In 2002, a taxi driver was killed while pumping gas in the area.
