“The adjudicatory chamber of the Ethics Committee, chaired by Hans-Joachim Eckert, has banned Lindile Kika, a former official of the South African Football Association (SAFA), from all football-related activities at national and global level for six years”, read a FIFA statement.

Kika violated several elements of FIFA’s ethics code, including its general rules of conduct and standards on disclosure, conflicts of interest and loyalty, ESPN reported.

According to Singaporean match-fixer Wilson Raj Perumal, one match included an worldwide friendly between South Africa and Guatemala in May 2010.

Kika’s ban includes both national and global games and is effective immediately.

SAFA welcomes the decision of FIFA’s Independent Ethics Committee and emphasises that the indivudual who has been investigated by FIFA into possible match-fixing in 2010 is no longer employed by or active in the Association.

But the Ethics Committee banned Blatter last week from global soccer for 90 days after Swiss authorities opened a criminal probe into his activity on suspicion of his criminal mismanagement of FIFA’s affairs.
