The lawyers said in a statement that only a “one-sided case” had been considered and he would now go to the CAS, which he dubbed “serious and independent”.

Blatter, FIFA’s leader for almost two decades, and Platini, president of UEFA, were given provisional bans in early October.
“According to article 67 of the Federation Internationale de Football Association Statutes, the decisions may be appealed before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS)”.
The UEFA president has failed to give a proper explanation or provide documentation to back up why it took nine years for him to be paid for consultancy work he did for Blatter between 1998 and 2002.
Switzerland’s attorney general has opened criminal proceedings against Blatter for suspected criminal mismanagement of Federation Internationale de Football Association money, over Platini’s $2 million and the undervalued sale of Caribbean TV rights for the World Cup. Both have denied any wrongdoing.
If he won that appeal, the electoral committee has said it would review his case but, even then, there is still no guarantee that he would be able to stand in the election.
Blatter and Platini are expected to appear before Federation Internationale de Football Association ethics judge Joachim Eckert in December and face lengthy bans if misconduct is found proven.
The governing body’s Appeal Committee upheld last month’s decisions to ban president Blatter and potential successor Platini for 90 days.

The contenders to replace Sepp Blatter are: Prince Ali Al Hussein, Sheikh Salman Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, Jérôme Champagne, Gianni Infantino and Tokyo Sexwale.
