Federation Internationale de Football Association suspends Blatter, Platini and Valcke
That position is now held by Hayatou, president of Africa’s football confederation (CAF).

Platini submitted his candidacy for February’s elections with just minutes to spare before he was suspended. But If it should happen, it will happen.
Platini said: “I reject all of the allegations that have been made against me, which are based on mere semblances and are astonishingly vague”.
Soccer’s worldwide operating body continues to see its leadership sent in disarray.
Platini said he was driven by “staunch defiance”, more than “a sense of injustice or a desire for revenge”, to defend himself.
Blatter was also banned for 90 days after becoming a suspect in a Swiss criminal investigation. Michel Platini might never even get there.
In another development, the Swiss justice ministry has agreed that another of the seven officials arrested in Zurich in May can be extradited to the United States.
“The UEFA executive committee saw no need, at this moment in time” to invoke UEFA statutes so that the senior vice president steps in to take over.
The International Olympic Committee president said in a statement: “Enough is enough”.
“I think it was inevitable that Sepp Blatter would be suspended over something”.
Blatter’s suspension brings a halt to a 40-year career that has survived waves of scandals until he was placed under criminal investigation.
No tweet has appeared on Blatter’s account since Friday. South Korea was one of the bidding nations in the contest won by Qatar. The judgment makes it impossible for Dr Chung to stand for election, and will likely mean the same for Platini.
UEFA’s executive committee said on Thursday night it had “full confidence” in Platini and would not be replacing him as president.
“During this time, the above individuals are banned from all football activities on a national and global level”.
Valcke, Blatter’s right-hand man for the past eight years, was suspended last month after allegations he was involved in a scheme to sell 2014 World Cup tickets at a marked-up price.
During the 90-day suspension, Blatter “is not allowed to represent Federation Internationale de Football Association in any capacity, act on the organisation’s behalf, or communicate to media or other stakeholders as a Federation Internationale de Football Association representative”, added the statement.
Hayatou, meanwhile, has issued a statement saying he will only serve on an interim basis and will not be standing for election. Those worries subsided when Swiss authorities launched an investigation into the beleaguered leader.
David Gill led calls for an emergency meeting of Fifa’s executive committee to discuss the crisis.
The English FA had given strong support to Platini.

They said Swiss prosecutors would be obliged by law to dismiss the case if their investigation, barely two weeks old, did not establish sufficient evidence.
