Feds Join Hunt for ?Affluenza Teen?
Dr G Dick Miller, a psychologist employed by Couch’s defence, claimed that the teen’s privileged upbringing meant he had been shielded from the consequences of his actions.

Texas teen Ethan Couch was sentenced to probation in 2013 for killing four people in a drunken-driving wreck, after his lawyers argued he had been coddled by his wealthy parents into a sense of irresponsibility. Violating the terms of his probation could result in a jail sentence of up to 10 years, the Tarrant County district attorney’s office has said.
“I would submit to you that kids who do things by accident or mistake probably should not be locked up with the key thrown away”, he told CNN’s ‘New Day’.
Authorities believe Ethan Couch disappeared with his mother.
On June 15th, 2013, Couch and some friends were drunk from beer they stole from Walmart when he crashed into a group of people on highway.
They had a good head start. Brian Jennings, a youth pastor, was driving past and also stopped to help. Two passengers in Couch’s auto were severely injured.
At the time of the crash, Couch was 16 and had a blood-alcohol level almost three times the legal limit. It was what should be done with him next.
The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office has tasked a sheriff’s team that specializes in serving warrants with finding Couch, who is now on a national fugitive data-base.
Eric Boyles, Hollie’s husband and Shelby’s father, felt the judge had been far too easy on Couch and angrily spoke out against how Couch was treated. “And (that is) exactly what Lucas McConnell predicted”.
A psychiatrist called in his defense at his trial two years ago said he had “affluenza” and was so spoiled he did not know the difference between right and wrong. He believes the disappearance was planned after the release of a video earlier this month, showing a boy who appeared to be Couch at a party playing a drinking game. The FBI has been in touch with the Sheriff’s Department to “look at ways that we can assist”, said Thomas M. Class, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Dallas Division.
At the time of his conviction, prosecutors said Couch could be incarcerated up to 10 years for violating his probation terms.
Instead of the golden rule, which was do unto others as you would have them do unto you, [Couch] was taught we have the gold, we make the rules at the Couch household.
Teens Sergio Molina and Soliman Mohmand were thrown from the bed of the truck.
“He ruined a lot of lives”, Anderson said.
Now authorities think Ethan may have fled the country with his mother.
In order to be punished, of course, Couch first must be found.
When the attorney came to know that the probation officer could not reach him and his mother, the authorities were ordered to take Couch into custody after they saw him.
‘A reward of up to five thousand dollars is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of Couch’.
“Any mess-ups from now on, he’s going to be over with us”, Terry Grisham, the county sheriff’s spokesman, told reporters.
“I’ve never had an instance where I have asked them to find someone when they didn’t catch their man”, she said.
Now, Texas officials fear the pair may have left the country.

“This is not somebody who is going to be able to just slip into the corn, like ‘Field of Dreams, ‘” Cevallos said. If they were to go to a tourist-friendly area they would quickly be recognized by someone who reads the news. “He should be found eventually”. He has received a settlement in excess of $2 million from the Couch family.
