Feel free to attack me, Duterte tells media
Jakarta, Sep 9 (IANS) The Philippines will grant the Indonesian navy access to its territorial waters if they are chasing pirates, Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte said during an official visit here on Friday.

The two leaders were set to talk about maintaining security on the South China Sea at the ASEAN summit.
“We were talking to Kerry, he’s okay but I had a feud with his gay ambassador”, Duterte said of USA ambassador to the Philippines, Philip Goldberg.
Duterte’s remarks prompted Obama to cancel a scheduled meeting with Duterte last Thursday on the sidelines of the Laos meetings.
“I think that any reasonable person. would be puzzled about how this became somehow indicative of the work that we’ve done here”, the president said of the incident, citing economic programs, development, and the promotion of civil society as measures of success in the region.
“Philippines” Duterte says “not a fan” of United States, plots own course was posted in World of TheNews International – https://www.thenews.com.pk on September 11, 2016 and was last updated on September 11, 2016.
But apparently Obama and Duterte reconciled enough to at least shake hands on Wednesday evening, ahead of a dinner gala at the summit in Laos.
“Most of you are clean, but do not ever say all journalists are clean”, the Filipino president said in a June press conference. “Putang ina, I will curse you in that forum”, Mr. Duterte told reporters, using the Filipino phrase for “son of a bitch”, before flying to Laos on Monday.
“You must be respectful”.
The President also made mention of Lingao’s case during the gathering of the Filipino community in Jakarta last Friday.
Basing on this statement and act, the PH president just showed his immovable stance on his “war on drugs”.
“If you make me mad, in all honesty, I will eat you alive, raw…”
However, after fears that the two would not get along were allayed during their brief banquet meeting, Duterte once again attracted the spotlight by calling UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon “a fool”.
Obama had urged him to conduct his crime war “the right way” and protect human rights. “Also gave a statement before, several weeks ago, about human rights violation. I would like to presume that you did it without malice”, he said, adding that he would appreciate an apology for a shortcoming in reporting.

“I said there has to be a limit to one’s stupidity”, he said.
