When the teaser for the first stand-alone film in the new Star Wars anthology series, Rogue One, was released back in April 2016, viewers got a glimpse of Oscar victor Felicity Jones as Rebel fighter Jyn Erso.

David Prowse played the black armor-clad villain in the original trilogy while James Earl Jones voiced him.

After a week of teasing, Disney finally released a new “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” trailer. It’s finally blaring and you can check out the new footage. In fact, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy said back in 2015 that the new Star Wars trilogy – which opened with Episode VII, “The Force Awakens”, last December – will be about the Skywalker family once again.

But whatever, Michael Phelps, let’s get to “Rogue One”.

Highlights include AT-ATs in battle, glimpses of the Death Star, and of course, Darth Vader himself, who can briefly be seen in the trailer’s closing moments.

Donnie Yen, Forest Whitaker and Diego Luna also star with Jones as part of the mission, while Bloodline’s Ben Mendelsohn leads the evil Imperial forces. Our hero this time is Felicity Jones’ Jyn Erso, a conflicted fighter who is a rebel in more ways than one.

The main enforcer of the Emperor, he’s also probably overseeing the creation of the biggest and most important weapon the Empire ever had, you know, the Death Star.
