Nearly 20 anonymous graphic designers from around the world were asked to photoshop an image of a woman to reflect what they believe is their country’s idea of the “perfect woman” – and the results are curious.

It can be recalled that a similar study was launched last year by a journalist, Esther Honig.

A Photoshop experiment involving designers from 18 totally different nations was carried out in an effort to emphasize how the flawless lady would seem like in line with their tradition’s perceptions of magnificence and the ideal feminine physique type.

From China and its barbie like ideals to the busty beauty hot out of Venezuela and thigh gap central in the USA – beauty really does come in many shapes and sizes and what one person perceives as lovely may not appeal to the other.

The interpretation of what is attractive in each country varies. Some depictions are realistic and others not so much.

Italy’s retouched picture was the second smallest, with an estimated weights of 7st 7lb and Body Mass Index of 18.0, based on the assumption that the model was 5ft 4ins.
