Female torso found at pier may be linked to missing woman
The woman’s husband, meanwhile, died late Tuesday night after leaping from the Bay Bridge, according to Fremont police.

The legs, arms, and head of the body were not found and appear to have been severed from the torso, police announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Police also said they were notified by the California Highway Patrol that the missing woman’s husband, Paul Titchener, had committed suicide by jumping from the Bay Bridge Tuesday night. He was identified Wednesday as Paul Titchener, who at that point had not been identified as a suspect in his wife’s disappearance, but was considered a “person of interest”, officials said.
“While we can not confirm the body found is that of Shelly Titchener, we also can not rule it out”, the Fremont Police Department said in a statement. She was reported missing on February 15 when she never returned from the trip to her friend’s, and she left her cell phone and laptop at home, according to Facebook.
Some neighbors said they heard the couple fight in the past, but Brisbane police said there was no history of domestic violence on record.
“My mother Shelly Titchener and father Paul Titchener have recently passed”, he wrote on Facebook.
The case of the missing woman took a macabre turn when people fishing near Dumbarton Pier reported finding a female torso about 8:16 p.m. Sunday, Fremont police said. Do you think Paul Titchener knew more about his wife’s disappearance than he led police to believe? “I hope that you will all respect the privacy of my family and I. Thank you to everyone who supported us in the search for my mother”.
“Everybody’s assuming that he did it just because he jumped off a bridge”, Hawawini said, “but who knows at this point”.

“We have not positively identified the body, and without an ID, we can’t make the connection”, she said. Authorities in Brisbane have served search warrants involving Paul’s home, business and vehicles in association with the investigation.
