Fenerbahce start transfer talks with United’s Van Persie
Van Persie is the second Manchester United player to have joined Fenerbahce this summer, following Nani to the Super Lig. The forward is set to have a medical at new club Fenerbahce with a £4.7 million payday looming for the Red Devils.

“That tournament is going to play a big role in the choice I will make”, Van Persie said, as quoted by the Daily Mail.
A departure for Van Persie would leave Manchester United short-handed in the strikers position, with only Wayne Rooney, James Wilson and Javier Hernandez left.
He only managed 10 goals in an injury-hit campaign, compared to the 30 he managed in 2012-13 when he was United’s top scorer. The Dutch worldwide underwent a medical check on Thursday afternoon in London.
But the Dutchman struggled for form and fitness under Louis van Gaal last term and slipped down the pecking order.
It had been widely reported that the Turkish side were keen on signing the striker but a tweet from the club’s official account represents the first confirmed news of discussions between the sides.
It would see the forward bring to an end a three-year association with United, after completing a £24m move from rivals Arsenal in 2012. The Italian has led both Lazio and Internazionale in the past and will be looking for similar results at Fenerbahce. The next step for both van Persie and the club will be to succeed in the upcoming Champions League.

The manager has promised to give the young players in the squad more opportunities to prove themselves and will look to do that during the pre-season tour of the United States later this month.
