Ferguson Remains In A State Of Emergency
Belmar, who was at the protest Tuesday night, said his concern was the potential that protesters could be angered by their presence.

Mr McGuire said approximately 23 arrests were made. Schellman says there were no similar incidents Tuesday.
Protests also cropped up outside Ferguson.
After a night of peaceful protests that saw neither arrests nor the deployment of tear gas in Ferguson, Missouri, St. Louis County officials are considering lifting the state of emergency imposed a day after the anniversary of Michael Brown’s death.
Although a tactical operations unit was on standby Tuesday night, it was never deployed. Oath Keepers appeared in Ferguson in November saying they were protecting businesses from rioting and looters.
The crowd Tuesday night was smaller than the night before, when hundreds assembled in the same spot.
Attendees mostly mingled quietly along the side of the road.
Protests began slowly Monday evening with a few dozen people forming on the streets and some people standing on a rooftop with hand-drawn signs.
According to the St. Louis County Police Department, two people were firing gunshots at one another in the 9200 block of West Florissant around 11:10 p.m. Sunday, CBS News affiliate KMOV reported. Brown’s death sparked a national (and arguably international) demand for police reform and fostered an ongoing conversation about racism in America.
The events had largely been peaceful until Sunday night, when gunfire erupted and 18-year-old Tyrone Harris Jr. was shot by officers after they say he fired into an unmarked police van.
During the protests, Xinhua reporters witnessed a woman scolding a man who had allegedly thrown a water bottle at police from the back of the group.
A spokesman for St. Louis County police said Harris’ condition remains unchanged.
“He was running for his… life because someone was shooting at him”, Mr Tyrone Harris Sr said, before the video was released. He has been charged with 4 counts of assault on regulation enforcement within the first diploma, 5 counts of armed legal motion and one rely of discharging or capturing a firearm at a motorcar and is at present being held on $250,000 cash-only bond.
Police on Tuesday released a video of that shooting that they said showed the teen, Tyrone Harris, drawing a pistol from his trousers.
FERGUSON, Mo. (AP) – Police outnumbered protesters in Ferguson overnight, signaling the demonstrations around the anniversary of Michael Brown’s death could be starting to fade.

Meanwhile, the return of an armed militia group patrolling the streets of Ferguson drew criticism from protesters and Belmar.
