Ferguson ‘worried’ about Liverpool’s Klopp appointment
Liverpool hired Klopp as their manager on Thursday four days after sacking Brendan Rodgers, and Ferguson revealed that he’s an admirer of the former Borussia Dortmund boss – even if he has taken over a rival club.

“I don’t want to describe myself”, he said. No. So let me work.
The 48-year-old was confirmed as the club’s new manager on a three-year contract as he replaces Brendan Rodgers, who was sacked last Sunday.
He laughed: “Maybe this is the biggest challenge in this moment in world football, but I was never a guy for the easy way”. What do you think of this news? I think it’s wrong. I’m surprised because first of all for me it’s very sad.
“It’s not a normal, usual club, it’s a special club”.
He added: “It is the intensity of the football, of how the people live football in Liverpool, all the Liverpool fans around the world”.
Liverpool won the last of their 18 league titles in 1990 under the stewardship of Kenny Dalglish.
“It’s been insane here”, he said. It’s only important that we play our own game, that the players feel the confidence and trust. If not, we have to work. If we want, this can be a really special day, if we’re patient. When I sit here in four years, I think we’ve won one title in this time.
Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he has no problems with Liverpool’s current transfer policy but insisted that he will have the final say on ins and outs at Anfield.
“This is a great club with good potential with players who are flexible”, he said. It’s up to you to tell me they are all liars!’
Klopp takes over for Rodgers’ disappointing 2015 season, but hopes are high for the newcomer.
Klopp’s former assistant Zeljko Buvac and analyst Peter Krawietz have accompanied the German to Anfield.
While Klopp has set himself that ambitious target, he was keen not to overburden his new squad – of which he is confident provide him with most of the tools to do his job – with that expectation.
“It’s enough for me to have the first and last word”. If you want to enjoy the game you have to prepare for this.

Despite his strong reputation following his Dortmund success, Klopp has played down the notion of becoming a “legend” at the club in the mould of Kenny Dalglish or Bill Shankly. “Critically, he is also a victor and someone who can connect with and enthuse our supporters”, Werner added.
