Ferguson ‘worried’ Klopp will impress at Liverpool
Klopp said: “Firstly, I would like to offer thanks to the ownership of Liverpool Football Club for showing faith in me and my staff and presenting us with this wonderful opportunity”.

Former Borussia Dortmund head coach Klopp, 48, was appointed on Thursday on a three-year contract following the dismissal of Rodgers, who was sacked last Sunday after three and a half years at the club.
“We could start in a very hard league but we can be successful in a special Liverpool way”.
Twenty-five years is a long time. Well aware that Liverpool have not won the league for 25 years, the new man said he did not want history to become a burden and that he was not prepared to promise immediate success.
Klopp added that the goal is to grow Liverpool into the best team in the world and suggested the club will win a title within the next four seasons. “If not, on to the next one – maybe Switzerland”. I’m not saying this year will be the best in the history of LFC, but if it happens we can celebrate this. He also won one German Cup and reached the Champions League final in 2013 before leaving in May.
‘This is one of the big problems you have here at Liverpool.
“The Premier League is one of the most hard leagues in the world”.
Klopp, who described himself as the “Normal One” at the news conference, insisted he is excited about the players he has inherited from Brendan Rodgers. “I believe in a playing philosophy that is very emotional, very fast and very strong”, he said.
Liverpool’s search for a new manager has ended less than a week after it began, with the club introducing Jurgen Klopp on Friday. I was a very average player. We have good defenders, strikers and midfielders. “But we have to work together”.
Jurgen Klopp’s arrival on Merseyside was compared to that of Jose Mourinho’s first press conference at Chelsea in 2004 when the Portuguese labelled himself the “special one”. So we have to think about what we can change. “Let me work, I am a totally normal guy”, he said.
“I know what I want, I have to talk to the players and find a common way”.
I always thought about working in England because of the kind of football and the intensity of the football, and Liverpool was first choice. You can only stay confident in the game when not every offensive move of the other team is a goal.

It had been speculated whether the German coach would be receptive to the set-up at Anfield, despite not having total control of transfers at former club Borussia Dortmund.
