In tonight’s show the results are seen being unveiled at Wembley Arena and a lot of them want the girls. Are you winding me up?

But Simon didn’t hide his dismay after being voted the mentor to the Overs.

He then walks over to check the results envelope, adding: “Are you sure this is the right name in there? Can I have a look?”

“That’s not very nice!” responds Cheryl.

Yikes, we thought that Eric would be the only Cowell throwing his toys out of the pram in this day and age.

After two rounds of boot camp, which saw tough choices made and a few dreams shattered, the worst is yet to come: the return of the Six Chair Challenge.

This year the Six Chair Challenge will be split across three episodes – first up it’s the turn of Rita Ora to decide the fate of the girls, whittling the category down from 16 contestants to just six.

He tweeted:”Great singers in this category, but I would be keen to see how another judge would do with the overs this year!”

Cowell said: “You were better the first time, but if it was me, I would give you a chair”.

The crowd believed this was a positive assessment and cheered. But Simon quickly clarified his statement: “Not one of those”.

A source for the show says that the idea is “exciting” and Cowell thinks that fans will “love it”.

Annoyed by a “rude” comment, the popstar tells her boss: “Simon if you would just like to mind your own business and wait until your category comes up!”

The X Factor’s Rita Ora called fellow judge Simon Cowell “rude” as the pair clashed over contestant Katie Coleman during the Six Chair Challenge.

Rita Ora will be seen getting upset as she is tasked with finding six acts to take through to the next round
