Fielder homered for the first time since his brief benching, Moreland had a pair of doubles and the Rangers beat Houston 5-3 on Thursday in a game that Astros shortstop Carlos Correa exited with a sprained left ankle.

Correa turned his ankle when he ducked under a wide throw from Profar and took a large final stride to the base. Trainers removed him from the game after checking on him.

The reigning American League Rookie of the Year, Correa rolled his ankle as he reached the first base bag, which sent him toppling to the ground.

The Rangers said Darvish’s early exit with the game tied 1-1 was a precaution and that an examination of his sore arm by team physician Dr Keith Meister revealed no issues.

Jose Altuve moved to shortstop while Tony Kemp took over at second.

The Rangers clinched a franchise-record 10th straight home series victory.

The Houston Astros were able to finally take down the Texas Rangers in Arlington after losing their last 12 games in the Rangers ballpark.

Fielder’s home run off Collin McHugh (5-5) came after the slugger sat two games last weekend when his average was at.187. Price (7-3) struck out seven over eight innings, allowing three hits and two runs with two walks. It was his shortest stint since his season debut on April 6 and snapped his four-game winning streak against Texas. Beltre did leave Wednesday’s game after feeling tightness in his left hamstring and was scheduled to be re-evaluated Thursday.

Odor, batting cleanup for the first time in his career, led off the eighth with his ninth homer for a two-run lead. Regular closer Sam Dyson was given his second straight day off.

Texas won every game started by Profar during this homestand.

Perez (5-4) overcame a shaky third inning to win his fourth in a row and improve to 5-2 lifetime against Houston. The 25-year-old left-hander gave up two runs – both in the third – in six innings in his 10th quality start of the season.
