The fans won’t be happy and it doesn’t get any easier for Arsene Wenger with trips to Barcelona and Everton up next.

Arsenal suffered their 13th defeat in all competitions this season, three more than last campaign and with at least 10 games left to play, to prompt fresh criticism of the methods of manager Arsene Wenger.

Second half goals from Odion Ighalo and Adlene Guedioura put the Hornets in charge and a late Danny Welbeck consolation could not save Arsenal. It is becoming a farce.

Arsenal’s season is rapidly falling apart after they were beaten by Watford to make it just one win in seven for Wenger’s side.

“In our dressing room after the game, it was kind of silent”, West Ham manager Slaven Bilic said, before adding about the replay: “It’s going to be anotherepic home FA Cupmatchand we couldn’t ask for more”.

Having faced strong criticism from supporters, ex-Arsenal players and television pundits in the past month, Wenger came out fighting earlier in the week when he said he was “bored” of being questioned as to whether he was good enough to remain in the job.

The Gunners fell to a shock 2-1 defeat at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday to see their hopes of lifting the FA Cup for a third year running come to an end. It was hard to understand why we didn’t score, I want to watch it again.

Ighalo also said beating Arsenal is great feeling and booking a place into the semi finals of the FA Cup and they will go all the way to the final and win the oldest trophy in football.

Before Arsenal could settle after the restart, Ighalo rocked up to break the deadlock with a 50 minute effort that handed Watford the slender 1-0 advantage.

“To play in the semi-finals at Wembley is wonderful for the people of Watford, the fans, the club, the players”.

“As a club and as a player we weren’t ready to go up so it was probably the best thing that happened, I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason”.

Leicester City are yet to fall away or disappoint, as many have predicted they would across the season, and now seem determined to make the title theirs.

Watford has made it through to the FA Cup semifinals after a 2-1 victory against FA Cup holder Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
