You can alternatively grab the VR coverage through a web browser on CBC’s site here. But there’s no cable to install – or disconnect after the Olympics. Not surprisingly, the Golf Channel will only broadcast golf, though NBC will also have coverage of the sport. On both the iOS and Android Google app, users can also choose to receive automatic Olympic updates.
Ironically, the International Olympic Committee’s least-promoted app is by far the most helpful one they offer. NBC isn’t directly involved with either the 4K or VR production, but will rely on worldwide feeds provided by the global Olympic Committee’s Olympic Broadcasting Services.

Most of the online video will come from OBS as well. Another plus with watching worldwide Olympics broadcasts is that, unlike NBC, they don’t time-delay the broadcasts. That makes the digital destinations a good way for immigrants to follow athletes from their home countries.
