“We don’t have any knowhow when it comes to that, so during this year’s GDC we spoke with them, and they also showed some interest in the technology behind Final Fantasy XV, so the talks continued from there, and now I’ve been given the permission to make it public just today”, says Tabata. But at least it looks as though there’s going to be plenty to look forward to when the game finally does release.

The director also confirmed during the event that the game won’t be out this year but it won’t be released as late as 2017.
Tabata stated that he has full trust in the company’s technological capabilities, and expects fruitful results from the said conjoining of ideas. We also have new footage of a Marlboro fight.
Square Enix would love to make Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn available to lots of gamers. “I’m not certain whether we’ll be able to make it on time for the retail release, but I think we should do even if it means releasing it after as a download”.

The game has been in development for nearly a decade now since Square Enix unveiled it at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in May 2006. The game is set to launch on the current generation PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. We want to get that across. Final Fantasy XV, as stated by many fans, is almost long gone, and only with seeing will they actually believe it.
