IGN reports that Square Enix Director Hajime Tabata and Marketing Director Akio Ofuji introduced the new character during the active time report livestream last weekend. It’d be suicidal to not release on the biggest platform around, although Final Fantasy games usually take a tad bit longer to arrive on that platform. If Final Fantasy XV has nothing to do with the PC, then there shouldn’t be any links between Steam marketplace and the game’s official website. The event will finally reveal the long-awaited release date for FFXV, which was first shown all the way back in 2006 when it was originally known as Versus XIII.

Bearing this in mind, it could mean that Final Fantasy 15 might very well be receiving a PC version. The discovery of an embedded code suggests that Final Fantasy 15 will release on PC along with the consoles.

Given the success of previous Final Fantasy titles on Steam, it seems like a no-brainer to us at this point.

I’m genuinely curious to see how Final Fantasy XV runs when the visuals have been turned up to 11 on a proper PC rig. The upcoming action RPG is scheduled for a worldwide release in 2016, and a fan recently fueled rumors on social media about a PC version of Final Fantasy 15.
