The clash of the two titans, “Dilwale” and “Bajirao Mastani” both of them are going wild on domestic as well as overseas screens.
It is clearly visible that the growth in the collections of the historical drama is because of its much stronger content but Rohit has a different point of view. “That’s quite an achievement for Bajirao Mastani”. Australia – biggest opening of 2015, biggest ever for SRK.
Pranab Kapadia, President – Marketing & Distribution, Eros International plc added on the film’s overseas performance, “Bajirao Mastani is a true masterpiece of Indian cinema that we have been very proud to showcase to the global audience. Total: Rs.46.77 crore”, Adarsh tweeted.
Film critic Anupama Chopra remarked that its director Sanjay Leela Bhansali “had dared greatly, and succeeded”. The film had a weak opening on day one and showed a marginal improvement on Saturday and a marked rise on Sunday but has dropped today (Monday).
Dilwale had collected Rs. 21 cr on the first day, Rs. 20.09 cr on the second day and Rs. 24 cr on the third day.
Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol-starrer “Dilwale” has stormed the global box office charts with the film earning Dollars 3.4 million on its opening day. They have even threatened the theatre owners to not screen the films of SRK and Aamir Khan.
However, this can be definitely a brilliant news for his supporters and Shah Rukh Khan that have been seeing Dilwale again and again.
