It is understandable that Google has chosen 96 Spring Street, New York City, as its first #MadeByGoogle location.

On a positive note, Google will still push monthly security updates to the Pixel and Pixel XL outside of Verizon’s control, ensuring users have a secure device at all times.
One could even claim that rushing the free, unlimited photo and video backup service, via Google Photos, is just good advertising.
The newly announced Pixel and Pixel XL caused great interest at the beginning of the week.
Battery is considered as one of the most important aspect in a smartphone, particularly when the device falls under a premium price bracket.
The latest version of the Android operating system, Nougat 7.1 was hardly cited at Google’s hardware event this week. In the US, Google and Verizon are advertising the device as a “Verizon Exclusive”, but the Pixel phones are also available unlocked from the Google Store, Best Buy, Verizon, Target, and Walmart.
“The Pixel (with a 5″ display) and the Pixel XL (with a 5.5” display) can be pre-ordered on the Google Store for $649 and $769.
The Nexus brand was always about the pure Android experience with quick updates from Google. Unfortunately, certain features that are now deemed Pixel-exclusive won’t be arriving to non-Pixel devices. Pixel XL also features the same specs, except for the screen that is 5.5-inches.
The two years, although it sounds low compared to what Apple offers with the iPhone, seems fairly decent in the world of Android where most phones never get a software update.
“Phones will get software and security updates as soon as they’re available, directly from Google”, Rakowski wrote.

Under the “preloaded Verizon apps” section (image below), Verizon doesn’t list anything, so customers won’t have to deal with apps like VZ Navigator or Verizon Cloud. The Pixel handsets are also fitted with USB type C charging ports and they also have a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
