Since its launch, Pokemon Go has suffered from two major flaws. While Niantic’s previous game, Ingress, had never fallen under such scrutiny, Pokemon GO became a full-on pop culture phenomenon, so it didn’t surprise many people when U.S. Senator Al Franken, a well-known advocate for privacy and freedom in the digital age, wrote Niantic with some pointed questions. Like most trends that are embraced by the zeitgeist immediately, the craze is bound to fall out of fashion at some point. The user’s most powerful Pokemon is a 2619 CP Dragonite, but their “best” is a 2226 CP Snorlax, nicknamed Marshmallow. At times we blame the game itself when it comes to such issues, and since Pokemon GO is extremely dependent on a data connection therefore this service is extremely handy to know about. The idea behind the Pokemon Go game is that you get out, walk, and interact with like-minded people while catching the little creatures. The company is notoriously quiet about its plans and the community is already starting to resent the developers for it. Although fans in regions where the game is live are already level 20 going on 30 and in need of new motivation to explore the temporary end-game, Niantic is focused on getting the game live worldwide.

Pokemon GO has caused all sorts of controversy, from the odd instance of trespassing all the way to player loss of life. Only time will tell. The “Go Catch ‘Em All” version has made it into the top free app’s list at the iOS store, while the Android version has already seen up to 50,000 in total downloads.
