Coming clean. Gay bachelor Robert Sepúlveda Jr.
‘I think that a real Prince Charming is someone who has life experience in all aspects of life, that isn’t afraid of someone with HIV or someone who doesn’t care what you’ve done in your past’.
In Finding Prince Charming, out singer Lance Bass plays host to 13 gay men who are vying to win over Sepulveda, described by producers as one of the “nation’s most eligible gay heartthrobs”.
“This is a show that I would die to watch, so the fact that I get to host this is a dream come true”, Bass told ET. “That’s really what I want people to focus on”. “This is one of the things I love about the show-it’s a fun reality show, it’s dramatic, but there’s a lot of heart in it and wonderful story lines…”
“I don’t know exactly what happened behind the scenes”, Sepúlveda said.
The show’s already been taped, but no word on whether the HIV positive guy was chosen after opening up about his diagnosis. “I will find out obviously when the show starts, but if the guys had a romance within themselves inside the house, I wouldn’t sit there and tell them not to do it, but hopefully nobody did that on the show”.
According to the 33-year-old interior designer, he is looking for a “sincere, honest, humble [and] loyal partner”.
Now that “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” have been on the air for umpteen seasons, it was only a matter of time before a competing TV network offered a gay-themed version of the romantic reality hit.
