Finishing Above Tottenham Good For Us and Our Fans – Mesut Ozil
The Gunners leapfrogged bitter rivals Tottenham on the final day of the season to finish second in the Premier League but supporters were left disappointed after once again missing out on the title.

However, it is his comments about how Arsenal’s season tailed off that will be the most concern for the club and, in particular, manager Arsene Wenger.
Arsenal’s German star Mesut Ozil, must be the most frustrated player in the Premiership right now.
Arsenal finished the Premier League campaign in the second place on 71 points, 10 away from champions Leicester City.
“That was a point in the season where we weren’t strong enough as a team to take a point and continue, especially after the Barcelona game”.
“We dropped a lot of points that we should not have dropped against the “smaller teams” and that was the point in the season where we did not work as a team”.
I seem to remember Ozil saying thing previous year about Arsenal strengthening last summer, but we all know how that went. One of the things is players getting injured which is one factor definitely.
“We just have to focus more and with stronger players maybe coming in be competitive for next season and we will see where we end up at the end”. New players will come in to make the side stronger than this season.
Ozil will be part of the Germany squad that will play in the Euro 2016 in France.
Speaking to Sport 360 in Dubai where he was unveiling an Emirates A380 clad with Arsenal player stickers and visiting the club’s regional soccer school, the 25-year-old reflected on Arsenal’s failure to capitalise on the poor form of others.
“But as I said I’m concentrating on playing in the Euros for Germany in France which is very important for me and my team”.
